Old Geolives website and applications / Old Geolives website is closed

Dear customer,

Our old Geolives website has been stopped.

It is being replaced by new SityTrail applications, which are already available for Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Spain and the Netherlands.
These new applications allow you to access all the maps of one country on the Web and on mobile devices (Android, iPhone / iPad) with a yearly or a monthly subscription.

Unfortunately, these new subscriptions are not yet available for Ireland because we have not come to a financial agreement with OSI.

Maps subscriptions / Rules for SityTrail "flash" offers

1. Question : I have purchased my subscription but I don't see any free subscription activated, is it normal?

Answer : Yes, this is normal. When the flash offer is finished, we generate a list of people who have made a purchase during the period of the offer and we send them an e-mail with a voucher code to activate the free subscription. This e-mail is usually sent in the 5 working days after the end of the offer.

2. Question : I have well received my voucher code, what do I have to do with it?

Answer : If the code gives access to only one product, you can activate it in the "My subscriptions" section of "My account" on http://www.sitytrail.com.
If the code allows you to choose between several products, you can use it on our Web Store  (https://store.geolives.com) : choose the product, click on "Buy" and enter the code in the "Voucher code" field.


3. Question : My code doesn't work, what can I do?

Answer : Please check these points first:
- Have you used the code for the good product?
- Haven't you already used the code before (you can check that in the "My subscriptions" section of "My account" on http://www.sitytrail.com) ?
If the problem persists, please contact us by e-mail : help@geolives.com
In the e-mail, please send us your code and the username of your SityTrail account


4. Question : Can I give my code to a friend?

Réponse : Yes, absolutely, voucher codes can be used on any Sity account

5. Question : Can I sell the voucher code to someone else?

Answer : No, it is forbidden to resell voucher codes, otherwise the activated subscription will be cancelled.

6. Question : I have seen your offer one day too late, can I still enjoy it?

Answer : Unfortunately, no. We cannot extend the validity period of our offers because they depend on agreements with partners. If you purchase a subscription one day (or more) before the beginning of the offer or one day (or more) after the end of the offer, you will not receive any voucher code.

7. Question : What is the validity period of your flash offers?

Answer : Promotional e-mails always include the date of the end of the offer. The date of the beginning of the offer is the date when you have received the e-mail. If you have purchased a subscription the day when you have received the e-mail, you will get a voucher code. The time zone used for our promotional offers is UTC+1 (winter) / UTC+2 (summer) -  CEST (Paris, Brussels,...)

If you are still using one of our old iPhone / iPad applications, Geolives or Geolives-M, we have to inform you that these old applications are unfortunately not compatible anymore with iOS 7 because of important technical changes made by Apple in the latest version of the operating system. These applications have been removed from the AppStore about 3 years ago and we cannot update them anymore.

- If you want to continue using these old applications, we advise you not to upgrade your iPhone / iPad to iOS 7.

- If you want to upgrade your iPhone / iPad to iOS 7, we advise you to discover our new SityTrail applications available on the AppStore.
These applications allow you to access topographic maps of several countries with a yearly or a monthly subscription : France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands.

Problem : I cannot save my new trail guide. I get the following error : "Nouveau guide" is not a valid name even if I have entered a valid name in English / Dutch / German / ...

Solution :
Before adding the name in another language, please delete the name in French by clicking the button next to "Français" and confirm by clicking "OK" on the message that appears (this message will soon be correctly translated).

This should resolve your problem.

Problem : Some trails created with the old website don't appear on the new website

Solution :

All the trails of the old website have been copied to the new website at the beginning of 2011.

The trails created on the old website since then have not been automatically added to our new website, sorry.

However, you can transfer these trails manually by downloading them from our old website (http://www.geolives.com/index.php?langue=en) via the "My trails" option and then importing them on our new website thanks to Guides Editor (http://editor.geolives.com). This tool will also allow you to manage your own trails.

Hello.

I would like to tell you that version 2.0 of our Geolives France application for Android is available.

This version allows you to access public trails from Geolives community (also available on the website http://guides.geolives.com) and from our parner website TraceGPS (www.tracegps.com).

Please simply update your application thanks to Android Market in order to get these new functions.

Question : How to upgrade from OSI Trailmaster to Geolives?

Answer :

Old Geolives website is now closed.

It is not possible anymore to upgrade from OSI Trailmaster to Geolives.

Question : How can I import/export tracks between my GPS and Geolives PC Editor?

Answer :

Several connection modes are available. The connection mode to choose depends on your GPS model :

For most GPS devices, you can use Garmin Basecamp software to transfer the tracks from/to your GPS : http://www.garmin.com/us/products/onthetrail/basecamp
You can use the GPX format to transfer the tracks between Basecamp software and Geolives PC Editor (you can use the "Import a GPX file" and "Export a GPX file" options in the "File" menu of Geolives PC Editor)

For the most recent GPS devices, they are directly accessible from Windows Explorer as a storage device. In that case, you can transfer your GPX files to and from your GPS device thanks to the "Import a GPX file" and "Export a GPX file" options in the "File" menu of Geolives PC Editor.

For less recent GPS devices

- If they are recognized by Geolives PC Editor, you can use the "GPS">"Import"/"Export" options to transfer tracks to and from your GPS after setting up your GPS type (menu "GPS" > "Configuration")
